Reflective

I thought I knew me
Shucks
I coulda fooled me
Life's minon began trampling like a stampede
Heart beats clear as day
But for some reason its hard to breathe
I ask god everyday
Is this what I need
Don't look forward to guidance
The road is usually partially paved
I pray sometimes like I caught the holy ghost
God deliver me, I really have no where to go
Open arms
With crossed t's
If it matters I will get on my knees and pray with the pope
When you are alone
Its the ultimate test of time
How long will you condemn my soul
I beg of you please

Rodeo

What a rodeo
Never was I the obscene character
Attached to my past life happenings
Preying on the weak
I am not everything you see
What a rodeo
Lumps, bumps and a whole shuffle of stuff
The road was made to be walked
But not while the pavement is still steaming hot
The sea
Where you can be can drowned alive
Drown like the others
Or learn to survive
What a rodeo
Without a paddle
Without four wheels
Without the right frame of mind
What a rodeo
