The Machine

Why second guess how crack stayed on the streets
35 years ago we despised the governments hand-out
A family could not be so secure without being limited
The aggressors wanting to take hold
Drugs were the revolution
Presented as a way out of this organized crime ritten crusade
We forget to reunite and fight
Where are we now
How will we out shine
Out power
Out mind
The mastermind
Such thoughts will drive a village crazy
What do they want, a black family thats lazy
So clever but yet so daring
Such rebellion should be written in stone
We will not be tossed into the fire
But helping to ignite one of our own
Against the machine

Inspired by the film "Claudine"

One blessing after another

So many blessings
None of which add up or remain relevant
Being for the passing
Or to get by
I Imagine catering and catering others
Smothered
Like I play the mother and the father
When in reality I had one without the other  No need to be replaced
Open my heart for that space
The angels will forever surround me

The race to greatness

Family knows best
Why make it difficult for myself
Hungry for self worth
Distance does not compliment the experience
You are who you are
No more time to waste the potential
The untouched once known as the protical son
I will not fall off like the sunrise and you can not see the moon
Living on stubborn terms, I am the one they call the buffoon
Spoken nothing but truth
Looking forward to self discovery
Without the journey
Without the hurdles
A lifestyle I slowly became equipped for
Not knowing this was a turn that could leave me never looking back
Grateful for these god given ears
For I have never been one to totally disregard
But I won't anymore
I want to feel what this greatness really means

Out of body experience

Experience the realm of the unknown
A place of fortitude
For you to revisit in any instance
Just one thought
Brings back the past
Nothing else compares
Or even matters at this point
A short relapse
Soulless
Surrounded by nothing but memories
When am I to forget
I vow never to regress
It is what I see now that has me embark
Replay

Untitled

So much energy gone
Writers block the very moment of pen to paper
Mind floating paperless
Body parts unwilling to place it with a date and time
Be strong
Be conscious
My personal wisdom for real life trauma
No more drama
No more 411's
I dial to a dialtone
There is no one to reach
Buried with the love
Lacking everything else
Need I wake up to reality
And replace it with defeat

The devil is a joke

The devil is a joke
Taking ownership
His pass has already been revoked
The devil is a joke
When he laughs at my poor soul
For i will laugh hardest
I do not believe
You are simply a joke
A small distraction amongst the mist
I have not lost all hope
Waiting to swallow it whole
Why not
Nothing is a stronger than believing in god
I pray
For your destruction
In my circle
In my lyfe
Out of my radius
Please begone
Because
The devil is a joke
