Not only a memory

Whenever I happen to forget 'struggles' name
Maybe it was time to just endure the suffering and pain
Second time to be acclamated
Things were once strange
Back to where you left off
Quiet typical in fact
Seldom do you count the misfortune
Knock contingent on the door you stand in front of
God, finding every language to speak
Sitting along side the dark angel
Do not give into sin
For it is the ultimate defeat
Drowning yourself in a pool of self-pit
Now is not the time to be selfish
Don't stand blemished looking helpless
You once preached
You live and you learn
So fall on your own morals
You will never have to catch your feet

William K. Butler
